About Jaysynth Orgochem Ltd

JD Orgochem Ltd., formerly Jaysynth Dyechem JDL, was established in 1973 and is one of the leading manufacturers of dyes, dye intermediates and pigments in India. With a total production capacity of 4680 tonnes per annum, it markets its products under the brand names Reactofix and Terenix and is India's largest exporter of reactive dyes. The company has four subsidiaries and a wholly-owned subsidiary in Manchester, UK. It is in the process of expanding its capacity from 4680 tonnes per annum to 6000 tonnes per annum. In the year 2001, the total production of dyes and pigments was 3603 MT which was lesser than the previous year due to weak performance of the end users and over capacities. Unfortunately, the company reported heavy losses, resulting in the networth being completely eroded. As a result, it has been referred to BIFR. The company plans to set up wholly-owned subsidiaries in South Africa, Brazil and other countries.
