About Sicagen India Ltd

Sicagen India Ltd is one of India’s leading providers of trading and marketing services for construction-related industrial and retail infrastructure. It trades in building materials such as mild steel, GI pipes, polyvinyl chloride pipes, electrical cables, steel fittings, and cement which are then sold to dealers, contractors, builders, corporate buyers and high-income individuals. Additionally, it operates dealership of commercial vehicles for Tata Motors covering 11 districts of Tamil Nadu, India. Not only that, it also offers governor services, water treatment and process improvement solutions, builds cargo and passenger vessels, boats, tugs, and barges. Sicagen India, which was incorporated on June 11, 2004, also entered into a distribution agreement with IMI Norgren Herion P Ltd, Noida to market Norgren products in 10 states across India and acquired South India House Estates & Properties Ltd in a scheme of arrangement. It has also hived off its wind mill operations and coffee estates and acquired drums manufacturing business at Minjur, Chennai during the year 200809 as well as during 200910 obtained Super Stockistship from Tulsyan NEC Ltd to market TMT rebars and Stockistship from Dalmia Cements Bharat Ltd and Madras Cements Ltd. Moreover, it acquired Speciality Chemicals and entered into a business transfer agreement for acquiring the drums manufacturing business located at Minjur among other initiatives. Lastly, Sicagen India is set to acquire Singapore based Wilson Cables Pvt Ltd to efficiently enter Singapore market.
