About Gini Silk Mills Ltd

Gini Silk Mills is a public limited company, established in 1995, and originally promoted by Vishwanath Harlalka and Deeak Harlalka. The company is engaged in the manufacturing of polyester shirting fabrics and its products are sold under the "Gini" brand name. To tackle issues such as long delivery schedules and inconsistencies in quality, the company set up its own process house in Tarapur in 1995-96, with an annual capacity of 1.5 crore metres per annum, to process top dyed, piece dyed and printed fabrics. To bring the project to completion and cover its increased working capital requirements, the company launched a public issue in 1996.
