About Pacific Industries Ltd

Pacific Industries, promoted by B R Agarwal and J P Agarwal, is a well-known presence in Rajasthan, located close by Udaipur. Established in have 1991 as an export unit with a 1.2 lac sq mtrs annual production capacity, the company is now engaged in a major expansion. It has four mines in Rajasthan and quarries in Karnataka providing 4000 cu mtrs pa of granites, and has been awarded the Best Export Award in the mining and minerals segment (199394). As part of its expansion, the capacity is set to triple with the purchase of 6.1 acres of land near Bangalore, and the import of machinery from Pellignini Italy. Additionally, the group is diversifying into the manufacture of synthetic blended yarn with an annual capacity of 31000 spindles, supported by foreign loans from IDBI, rights-cum-public issue proceeds and internal accruals. Creating further diversification, the company is also looking to venture into leasing finance, amusement parks and hotels.
