About RTS Power Corporation Ltd

RTS Power Corporation was incorporated in December 1947 as Bhanwarlal Bhutoria Pvt Ltd and turned into a public limited company in 1984. In 1971, the Calcutta-based firm set up production facilities to manufacture power and distribution transformers in Jaipur. In 1995, the company diversified into the manufacture of high-rated power transformers by coming out with a public issue and launching a modernization-cum-backward-integration programme. The paid-up equity capital increased from Rs 0.98 crore to Rs 5.19 crore due to this public-cum-right issue. Further, the firm is now expanding the transformer range from 25 KVA to 50000 KVA with the new project, expected to be commissioned by October 1996. In addition, the company has added an another unit at Salkia, West Bengal and a factory at Jaipur to manufacture Transformer up to 132 KV Class.
