About Basant Agro Tech (India) Ltd

Basant AroTech India Ltd., formerly Shisherkumar Basantkumar Fertilizers Pvt Ltd., was incorporated on Oct 16 90 and is owned by the Bhartia group. It is a leading producer of NPK mixed granulated fertilizers and SSP fertiliser, marketed under the brand name Krishi Sanjivani. They have a tie-up with Rallis India to do retail sales and with Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation (MMTC) to import DAP Muriate of Potash, Urea, Suphala, and Dolomite. The company also built a single super phosphate plant (SSP) with a 66000 MTPA capacity in the district of Akola in Maharashtra and expanded it to 83000 in 200001. Additionally, the company has recently started to produce and process high yielding varieties of hybrid seeds for crops such as cotton, jawar, groundnut, sugarcane, fruits and vegetables, aiming to significantly expand its operations.
