About Setco Automotive Ltd

Gujarat Setco Clutch GSCL (incorporated in 1982) has been producing clutch driven plate and clutch cover assemblies. However, during the initial six months of 199596 it faced operational constraints and production was disrupted. Despite this, the Board is sure that with corrective measures being taken the performance will improve in the remaining period. To keep up with the changing auto market, particularly adhering to Euro Norms, the company has entered a Technical Collaboration with M/s Dana Corporation in March 2001. Upgrades to production capability have been made in 200001 with the installed capacity of Clutch Driven Plates increasing from 230,000 to 310,000 nos., and Clutch Cover Assembly from 125,000 to 170,000 nos. The company had earlier become unviable and had submitted a rehabilitation proposal which was approved in 19992000.
