About TRF Ltd

TRFL, formerly known as TataRobinsFraser, was incorporated in 1962 and provides services to core industries like power, mining, coal, fertilizers, cement etc. It is an expert in manufacturing advanced systems for conveying, stacking, reclaiming and processing of bulk raw materials. By the end of the 1980s, TRFL acquired the stampcharging technology for cokeoven machinery in collaboration with German firms. In 1994, it signed an agreement with Italiampianti, Italy, for the supply of state-of-the-art equipment like stackers, reclaimers, stackers-cum-reclaimers, shiploaders etc. In 1999-2000, it amalgamated with Tata Material Handling Systems Ltd (TMHS) and Tata Technodyne with assets worth Rs 14 crores. It also signed a Brand Equity and Business Promotion Agreement with Tata Sons Ltd and acquired the know-how for conveyor belt reconditioning plant and services from TipTop Saar GmbH, Germany. 210203 saw the installation of 3, 20-Tons Level Luffing Cranes for Tuticorin port trust. In the year 2002-03, the company branched out into Engineering Services for Mini Blast Furnaces with SMS Demag.
