About Orient Ceratech Ltd

Orient Abrasives Ltd was incorporated in 1971 and is mainly engaged in the production and trading of Aluminum Refractories and Monolithics Products, Mining of Bauxite Ores and Generation of Power, including windmill facilities. Over the years, the company has established various divisions (Abrasive grains at Porbandar Gujarat, Bonded Abrasive division at AlwarDist.Rajasthan and Refractories division at Alwar Dist. Rajasthan and Salem TN), and a Thermal power plant of 9 MW capacity at Porbandar. In 200405 the capacity of power division was doubled with a 4.5 MW DG Set at Porbandar. The company divested its Bonded Abrasives business to Grindwell Norton Ltd. in 2006 and set up 4 Wind Turbines with a total capacity of 5.1 MW in Rajasthan and Karnataka. By 2011, the wind farm capacity was increased to 9.6 MW and in 2013-14, the company installed another 11.1 MW capacity of Wind power plants in the two states. The company sold 25.52 shares of its company in 2015 to Bombay Minerals Ltd. Resulting in the acquisition of 26 shares from public shareholders. The company also installed more capacity of 1.75 MW in Gujarat for captive consumption at Porbandar in 2019-20 and acquired 100 Equity Shares of M/s Orient Advanced Materials Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. In 2021, the company resumed operations partially to produce White Fused Alumina WFA and other fused products.
