About The Investment Trust of India Ltd

Fortune Financial Services India (FFSL), a merchant bank accredited as a Category-I by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), was incorporated on 14 Jun 91. Promoted by chairman J T Poonja and managing director Nimish C Shah, FFSL raised a public issue of Rs. 7.5 crore to fund long-term working capital requirements and expansion in their fund-based activities. The main services provided by FFSL are corporate finance, money market operations, loans syndication, and corporate advisory services. FFSL has also set up a subsidiary called Hazel Finvest Pvt Ltd. and their equity research team publishes a monthly newsletter, titled Fortune News Cap. In 1999, FFSL became the first company in India to initiate a share buyback. In 2001, the company became a corporate member of The Stock Exchange Bombay and began its stock market operations. FFSL has also done private placements with Popular Entertainment Network Limited, Clickforcotton.com, Goldstone Technologies, and Mirc Electronic Limited.
