About IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd

IOL Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd is one of the leading organic chemicals manufacturing and supplying companies in India, established in 1986. The company has two segments which primarily manufacture industrial chemicals, industrial organic chemicals, bulk drugs, and active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). It has two manufacturing units located in Punjab - API and Chemical Unit, that respectively manufacture ibuprofen and organic chemicals such as acetic acid, ethyl acetate, acetic anhydride, etc. with an installed capacity of 10 MTPD for ibuprofen and around 10000 MT for some of the organic chemicals. The company has a presence in over 40 countries and provides its services to prominent clients like Ranbaxy Labs, Dr Reddy, DS Group, Cipla, Uflex Industries, etc. Various projects such as the installation of a new multi-product PPIs plant, conversion of a multiple purpose plant into a dedicated ibuprofen manufacturing facility, and installation of Unit IV & V for manufacturing Metformin & Clopidogrel, have been undertaken with a total CAPEX of Rs 229 crore. The company also set up Unit VI for Pantoprazole manufacturing and Unit 7 for manufacturing Metformin with a capacity of 7200 MT, costing Rs 28 crore. Moreover, a wholly owned subsidiary Company, IOL Foundation was incorporated in 202223 and Unit 10 for manufacturing pharma APIs is also in the process of implementation.
