Security and Intelligence Services India Limited (SIS) is one of the leading providers of private security, facility management, and cash logistics services. Located in India and Australia, SIS is second largest security services company and the largest cash logistics services provider in India. It employs over one lakh workers, and offers its services to businesses, government organizations, and households. The company began as a Private Limited in 1985 and was converted into a Public Limited and changed its name in 1993. SIS has received ‘SME 1’ rating by the CRISIL credit rating agency and has implemented ISO 9001 across its operations. In 2005, the company entered the cash logistics services segment and crossed the 10,000 employee mark in 2006. Subsequently, in 2008 D. E. Shaw Composite Investments Mauritius Limited PCC made an investment. In 2011, SIS successfully entered a joint venture with companies Prosegur Spain and Terminix US. In 2013 D. E. Shaw sold its shares. An IPO was made in 2017 and the stock debuted at Rs 875. Strategic partnerships with SLV Security Services and Cognizant Technologies have enabled the company to further consolidate its market share across NCR, Gurgaon, India, Singapore and New Zealand. It has acquired majority shareholding of Rare Hospitality and Services Private Limited and Uniq Detective and Security Services Private Limited. In FY 202122, the company took over P4G business in New Zealand and Henderson business in Singapore. It launched new solutions, like AVESX Bird control and Rodent Smart Solutions. With this, SIS has become a dominant player in the healthcare segment and offering valuable synergies in targeting the residential market in Gurgaon.
