About Vadilal Industries Ltd

Vadilal Industries began in 1982 as Vadilal Oxygen Pvt Ltd for the purpose of purifying and refilling oxygen and selling the same. The company's scope of business expanded to include ice cream, processed foods and forex in the subsequent years. Currently, the company operates with three ice cream plants across Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh with a combined capacity of 20,046 kilo litres a year. Vadilal has launched different ice cream varieties, including low fat calorie ice creams, and also entered the market for processed foods, frozen vegetables and fruit pulps in Europe, West Asia, and the US. The company has installed an Individually Quick Frozen facility with a capacity of 2 metric tonnes per hour at the Dharampur plant, and has set up two wind farms with 1.92 MW of power generating capacity in Gujarat. Vadilal has also developed a commercial complex, ‘Mahalay’, at Navrangpura in Ahmedabad. Additionally, the company has a Forex and FFMC Division, offering services in forex, bullion and base metals. The company is planning to introduce new products such as a whole range of frozen fruits, vegetables, and ready to serve foods, while expanding its geographical reach beyond Gujarat.
