About Galada Power & Telecommunication Ltd

Galada Power Telecommunication is a manufacturer of aluminium / aluminium alloy products, AAACs, speciality wires, rolled products, castings and alloy ingots. They experienced losses in 198-82, yet implemented a BIFR-approved rehabilitation package which resulted in a turnaround for the company. The Central Electricity Authority and Rural Electricity Corporation have recommended that SEBs use AAACs for power conduction as they offer several advantages such as reducing transmission losses, longer service life, simple erection and jointing and a higher degree of security. Galada received a Rs 20cr order to supply AAACs to Power Grid Corporation which hast marked their entry into the power transmission sector. The capacity of their AAAC plant was expanded and they entered into an agreement with a UK company to market their products in India. They also commissioned a 220KV substation successfully in Yerandahalli and Doddaballapur. The Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) has referred Galada to them due to their accumulated losses and IDBI has been appointed as the Operating Agency.
