SBI is India’s largest public sector bank, with a domestic market share of over 22% in deposits and advances. As of June 2025, its total deposits stood at ₹54.73 trillion, of which 39.36% came from low-cost current and savings accounts (CASA).
Its total advances were ₹42.55 trillion, with 42.5% of domestic advances in retail loans, including home loans (₹8.51 trillion, market share 27.7%), auto loans (₹1.27 trillion, market share 19.3%), personal and other retail segments. International advances, contributing 14.9% of the total loan book.
The bank earns from net interest income, which was ₹41,072 crore in Q1 FY26, and non-interest income of ₹17,346 crore from fees, forex, treasury operations, and cross-selling. Asset quality remains strong, with a gross NPA ratio of 1.83%, net NPA of 0.47%, and a provision coverage ratio (PCR) of 74.49%
SBI also leads in digital banking, its YONO platform had 9.04 crore registered users by June 2025, with 66% of new savings accounts in Q1FY26 opened via YONO.
