About The Phosphate Company Ltd

The Phosphate Company Limited is a limited company established in 1949. They are involved in the dealing of farm inputs such as fertiliser, crop protection, speciality nutrients and organic compost as well as the trading of acid. Their manufacturing plant is based from Rishra in the Hooghly district of West Bengal, India. In 2016, the Company acquired the paid up equity share capital of M/s Abhinandan Goods Pvt. Ltd, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. In 2017, a writ was petitioned before the Honble High Court in Kolkata challenging the constitutional validity of the West Bengal Tax. Additionally, in 2018 the Company secured approval to issue compulsory redeemable cumulative preference shares on a preferential basis. The Company will continue to offer follow up strategic solutions such as part of land and buildings transferred to the subsidiary for the development for agroinput business.
