About Binny Ltd

Incorporated in 1799, Binny Limited (BL) is managed by M Ethurajan and E Shanmugam. It is a major promoter with Resources 16 Billion, the Dynamix group joined hands in September-1994. BL was sanctioned a rehabilitation scheme to restructure its engineering division and modernize the textile division. As part of modernisation efforts the company already installed 170 looms and imported 67 machines, with 17000 spindles of Rieter Machines. However, due to unprecedented rain, the company suffered heavily in terms of losses, making it a sick industrial company. In 1998-99, the company was awarded the trophy for highest exports in the category of Non-SSI, and also received Safety Performance recognition for Dabhol Power Project Phase II. The matter is currently still pending for reopening the mills.
