About Twilio

"Founded in 2008 by the three co-founders, Twilio Inc is based in Seattle and San Francisco. The company provides cloud-based communication services that allow users to develop voice, VoIP, and SMS apps via a web API using standard web languages. Twilio Voice, an API that allows users to make and receive phone calls from the cloud, launched a few days later on November 20, 2008. Twilio released text messaging API and SMS short codes in February 2010 and July 2011. Twilio's infrastructure supports communications worldwide through 26 offices in 17 countries and counting. Twilio received its initial funding in March 2009. Since then, it has raised additional rounds as needed. In June 2016, the firm was listed on NYSE. The company serves clients across multiple sectors, including financial services, retail, health care, and education. Its business operations are located in the United States, the United Kingdom, Estonia, Ireland, Colombia, Germany, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Australia, and the Czech Republic. Major competitors include Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, and Bandwidth Inc. Twilio' reported revenue of $2.84 b in the fiscal year 2021. It was a 61.3% increase from 2020's revenue, which was $1.76 b. In December 2021, the company announced the launch of Twilio Ventures, a US$50 million fund. The company and Teleperformance announced a partnership in January 2022 to provide companies worldwide with the next generation of cloud-based contact center solutions. Currently Twilio has a market cap of $18.88 Billion. It has a P.E ratio of 592.86. The shares of Twilio are trading at {current share price in dollars (in INR)}."
