Company Information

Monnet Ispat Energy Limited (formerly Monnet Ispat Limited (MIL)) was incorporated in February 1990. Initially, its principal activities were producing and marketing Sponge Iron Steel and Ferro Alloys. In addition, MIEL is now engaged in mining of coal and power generation. It operates two workstations in Chattisgarh state, upgraded from 1 lac TPA to 130,000 TPA capacity in 2001, and entered into a technical agreement with Italian firm Scandiuzzi SRL for setting up a steel engineering and fabrication facility in Haldia in 2006. In 2008, its global arm, Monnet Global, reached the final stages of acquiring a 250 million ton coal reserve in Indonesia. The company is striving for corporate excellence, with a strong focus on benefiting stakeholders and society, in terms of cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
