- Institutional demand was the strongest part of the issue. QIBs subscribed 155.832x, far above the retail and NII portions. This shows that the IPO attracted very strong institutional bidding.
- Demand was broad-based. Retail investors subscribed 8.406x and NII investors 34.915x, so interest was not limited to one investor group.
- The final figure confirms very heavy demand, but a late subscription surge cannot be confirmed from the final number alone. Day-wise subscription data would be needed to establish how much of the demand came on the final day.
The high subscription does not, by itself, mean the stock will deliver strong returns after listing. It mainly tells us that demand for the IPO was much higher than the shares available.
What’s Next After Allotment?
If shares are allotted
Your allotment status should show the number of shares you received once the basis of allotment is finalized. The shares are expected to be credited to your Demat account on August 17, 2026, followed by listing on August 18, 2026.
Because the IPO was subscribed 56.12x overall, investors should not assume that applying for one lot guarantees one lot of shares. In heavily oversubscribed categories, allotment can be limited and may depend on the applicable allotment rules and the number of valid applications.
If shares are not allotted
If you do not receive shares, the amount blocked for the IPO should be released through your UPI mandate or bank account as per the issue process. KFin Technologies explains that allotment depends on factors such as category-wise demand and the number of applications received.
Not getting an allotment does not prevent you from buying Milky Mist shares later. Once the stock lists on August 18, investors can consider buying through the stock exchange, but the market price may be very different from the IPO price.
Final Word
The 56.12x subscription, especially the 155.832x QIB demand, shows that Milky Mist attracted strong investor interest, but subscription numbers should not be confused with business quality or future returns.
If you applied, the practical next step is to check your allotment on KFin Technologies, BSE, or NSE after the allotment is finalized on August 14. For long-term investors, the bigger question remains whether Milky Mist can sustain its growth while reducing debt and supporting its premium valuation.
