PT Astra International Tbk is a diverse Indonesian conglomerate operating through its subsidiaries across a multitude of sectors. Its extensive business activities span automotive, financial services, heavy equipment, mining, construction, energy, agriculture, infrastructure, logistics, information technology, and property development. Within its automotive segment, the company distributes a wide array of cars, trucks, and motorcycles under various brands. It also manufactures and supplies automotive components for both original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket, alongside offering specialized consultation services. Its financial services arm extends credit for vehicle and heavy machinery purchases, provides comprehensive insurance products including life, motor, health, and commercial coverage, and offers a range of banking solutions. Astra International is a key player in heavy equipment, distributing machinery for diverse industries such as mining, plantations, construction, forestry, and material handling. It further engages in coal mining operations, offering contracting services and managing its own mines, and is involved in crude palm oil production. Its infrastructure and logistics portfolio encompasses toll road management, vehicle rental, sales of pre-owned automobiles, and extensive logistics and warehousing solutions, including ground, sea, and air freight forwarding. The group also delivers information technology business solutions, leveraging document, information, and communication technologies, and undertakes property development and management ventures. Complementing these, its activities include specialized construction services such as foundation work, formwork (bekisting), pump services, and comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) installations. Established in Jakarta, Indonesia, in 1957, PT Astra International Tbk operates as a subsidiary of Jardine Cycle & Carriage Limited.
