How to Check IPO Allotment Online

  1. Choose the IPO from the list.
  2. Open the official registrar or exchange link.
  3. Select the issue name from the drop down.
  4. Enter PAN or IPO application number.
  5. Complete the verification and submit.

The registrar appointed for the IPO is usually the most direct route. BSE and NSE may also provide application or bid-verification facilities. See the detailed guide on how to check IPO allotment status.

What Details Do You Need?

The required information depends on the registrar or exchange. You may be asked for:

  • PAN
  • IPO application number
  • DP ID and Client ID
  • Demat account number

Enter the details exactly as used in the application. Never share your complete PAN or account details on a public page or with an unverified website.

What Does Your Allotment Result Mean?

ResultMeaning
AllottedShares have been allocated to you
Partially allottedYou received fewer shares/lots than you applied for
Not allottedNo shares were allocated
No record foundThe result may not be live, or the entered details may not match
PendingThe allotment process is not complete

Why Is the Status Unavailable?

An unavailable result does not always mean you received no shares. The registrar may still be processing allotment, the issue may not yet appear in the dropdown, or your details may not match the application. Check the expected allotment date, confirm the identifier and try again after the result is published.

Check These Points Before Assuming You Received No Allotment

Use this quick sequence:

  1. Confirm that the official allotment date has arrived.
  2. Check that the registrar has published the result.
  3. Select the correct IPO from the dropdown.
  4. Enter the PAN, application number or demat details exactly as submitted.
  5. Confirm that the application and UPI mandate were successful.

Bank debit or unblock messages can offer a clue, but the official registrar result is the primary confirmation.

What Happens After Allotment?

If shares are allotted, the required amount is debited and the shares are credited to the demat account used in the application. If you receive no shares, the blocked amount is released. In a partial allotment, only the amount required for allotted shares is debited.

Track the demat-credit and listing dates before taking the next step. Allotment does not guarantee a listing gain; the IPO listing-day guide explains what to evaluate before holding or selling.

What Should You Do After Seeing the Result?

ResultNext step
AllottedConfirm the number of shares, bank debit, demat-credit date and listing date
Partially allottedConfirm the allotted quantity and monitor release of the remaining blocked amount
Not allottedTrack the funds-unblock date and consider the stock only after it lists and you reassess the price
No record foundRecheck the details and wait until the official result is live

If you receive shares, decide before listing whether your goal is short-term or long-term. Review the business and valuation again instead of making the decision solely from the expected listing premium.

Why Allotment Chances Differ

Your chance depends on the valid demand and shares available in your investor category. In a heavily oversubscribed retail category, the number of valid applicants may be much higher than the number of lots available. Applying through several demat accounts under the same PAN does not create independent valid applications.

Avoid informal “allotment probability” claims that ignore category demand, valid applications, and the final basis of allotment. The exact result is known only after the registrar completes the process.
