What is an Aadhaar Pvc Card and How to Apply it

An improved and more practical iteration of the original Aadhaar Card is the Aadhaar PVC Card. In contrast to the paper-based variant, the PVC card is long-lasting and lightweight due to its sturdy plastic construction. It fits flawlessly inside your wallet since it is the same size as a credit card. Along with improved security measures, the card has a QR code for instant verification. However, how may one be obtained? Fear not—the application procedure is simple and may be completed offline or online.

You may now submit a request to UIDAI to have your Aadhaar card reprinted as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), making it possible for you to carry it about like a debit or credit card.

The PVC card is strong and has superb print and lamination options. A QR code may also be used to quickly validate the card offline.

Procedure for applying for a new PVC Aadhaar card

Following the five procedures listed below, you may apply online for a new PVC Aadhaar card:

1. Go to the UIDAI website and choose the 'order Aadhaar PVC' link under 'My Aadhaar'.

2. In order to apply for an Aadhaar PVC Card, you must first provide certain identity information. For this, you may use your Enrollment ID (EID), virtual ID, or UID number. For security purposes, you will need to fill out a captcha after entering one of these IDs. Upon completion, you have the option to choose between obtaining an OTP or a time-based OTP by selecting "send OTP" or "send TOTP."

  • Put the OTP or TOTP in the appropriate field as soon as you get it. To continue, make sure you check the "I accept the terms and conditions" box before clicking the Submit button.
  • Don't worry if your cellphone number isn't shown. To obtain the OTP or TOTP, just check the box that reads, "My mobile number is not registered."

3. Check the UID information as shown on the preview page before selecting the "Make payment" link. You cannot see the preview if your cellphone number is not registered.
4. Select a payment method from UPI, online banking, and cards (debit or credit cards)

5. A receipt is created after a successful payment and may be retrieved by selecting the "download payment receipt" option.

Within five working days of the day you order the Aadhaar PVC card, the UIDAI sends the card to the Department of Post. It will be sent via rapid post to your address.
