Facebook Inc. is an American multinational tech giant founded in 2004 by then-Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg and his friends and roommates Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, Eduardo Saverin, and Chris Hughes. The company was initially started as a directory cum social network exclusively meant for university students in the US.
