Family Accounts On INDmoney
Managing family finances becomes easier when everything is visible in one place. With Family Accounts on INDmoney, you can add family members, track their net worth separately, view combined family wealth, and understand assets, liabilities and portfolio performance without mixing accounts.

Track Your Family Net Worth On INDmoney
Family Accounts brings your household’s financial picture into one dashboard. Once a member accepts your invite, you can see their tracked assets, liabilities and net worth along with your own.
Combined Family Net Worth
See the combined net worth of your entire household in one number. This includes every family member’s investments, savings, and liabilities, totalled and updated in real time. You no longer have to ask your parents what their FDs are worth or guess your spouse’s portfolio balance. One dashboard, one number, everyone accounted for.
Member-Wise Breakdown
The consolidated number tells you the total. The member-wise breakdown tells you who holds what. You can see each family member’s individual net worth, their asset mix, and their liabilities. This is useful when planning: if most of the family’s wealth is concentrated with one member, that is a risk worth knowing about.
Shared After Approval
No data is shared without explicit consent. When you invite a family member, they see exactly what they are sharing and approve it before anything becomes visible to you. They can revoke access anytime. This keeps the feature useful without making anyone uncomfortable. The goal is financial clarity, not financial monitoring.
Own Account Required
Only one person needs an INDmoney account to get started. You invite family members, and they can join through a simple onboarding flow. They do not need to have been using INDmoney already. Once they sign up and link their accounts, their data syncs into the family dashboard automatically.
How To Add a Family Member On INDmoney?
Open Family View
Go to the Net Worth section on the INDmoney app and tap on Family. This opens the family dashboard where you can see your own net worth and add members to build the household view.

Add Member Details
Tap ‘Add Member’ and enter the family member’s name, relationship, and contact details. INDmoney uses this to send them an invite. You can add parents, your spouse, siblings, or children, cousin or friend.

Send Invite
The family member receives an invite via OTP or the WhatsApp. Once they accept, complete their KYC if needed, and link their financial accounts, their data starts appearing on your family dashboard.

Understand Family Portfolio Analytics
A family view is useful only when it shows more than a total number. INDmoney helps you understand how the family’s wealth is spread across assets, market caps and sectors.
Asset Allocation
See how your family’s total wealth is divided across equity, debt, real estate, gold, cash and other assets. This helps you understand whether the family portfolio is conservative or too concentrated in one asset class.
Market Cap Allocation
Check how the equity portion of your family portfolio is split across large-cap, mid-cap and small-cap holdings. This helps you see whether the combined portfolio is balanced or tilted toward one market-cap segment.
Sector Allocation
Understand which sectors your family’s equity investments are exposed to. This helps you spot overlaps, such as high exposure to banking, IT or consumer stocks, even when each member’s portfolio looks balanced.
Benefits Of Family Account
Family accounts helps families move from scattered tracking to shared financial visibility. It can be useful for parents, spouses, siblings, in-laws or anyone who wants to plan household wealth together.
Shared Visibility
Every family has financial blind spots. You know your portfolio, but not the details of your spouse’s mutual funds. Your parents know their FD maturity dates, but you have no idea how much is in them. Shared visibility means no more guessing. When a decision needs to be made, the data is already there. You do not have to start a difficult conversation from scratch every time money comes up.
Better Planning
Major financial decisions require the full picture. When you are deciding whether to buy a second property, you need to know the family’s total liquid assets, outstanding liabilities, and monthly cash flow, not just your own. When you are estimating how much to allocate for a child’s education, you need to know what both parents have saved, not one. Family tracking makes planning realistic instead of partial.
Consolidated Review
Instead of each family member reviewing their finances separately (and most not doing it at all), you can sit down together with one dashboard and one set of numbers. A quarterly family finance review takes 15 minutes when all the data is already consolidated. Without INDmoney, it takes hours of collecting statements, and most families never bother. The consolidated view is what makes regular reviews actually happen.
Goal Alignment
Every family member might have their own financial goals, but household goals need coordination. If you are saving for a home down payment while your spouse is aggressively investing in small-cap equity, those two goals might be in tension. Family tracking surfaces this. It does not tell you what to do, but it gives you the data to align as a household instead of each person optimising in isolation.
