GAMP Services, a Vadodara-based company providing testing and compliance solutions to pharmaceutical manufacturers, has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with SEBI for an IPO of up to 46.94 lakh shares. The company reported approximately 28% revenue growth and 38% profit growth in FY26. However, its dependence on pharmaceutical customers and sizeable expansion plans raise important questions for investors.

What Does GAMP Services Do?

GAMP Services helps pharmaceutical and other regulated manufacturers ensure their equipment, cleanrooms and computer systems meet required quality standards.

The company earns revenue through three businesses:

  • Validation and compliance services: Testing manufacturing equipment, facilities and computer systems.
  • Product distribution: Supplying specialised testing and monitoring equipment from global manufacturers.
  • Data logger manufacturing: Producing devices that monitor conditions such as temperature and humidity.

Validation and compliance services contributed approximately 71.34% of FY26 revenue, making them the company's largest business segment.

What Are the Key Details of GAMP Services IPO?

GAMP Services' DRHP was published on SEBI's website on October 21, 2026. The proposed IPO includes both fresh shares and an offer for sale by existing shareholders.

The company proposes to utilise approximately ₹40.05 crore towards purchasing equipment and IT hardware for its services and manufacturing businesses. Part of the proceeds is also intended for potential acquisitions and general corporate purposes.

How Strong Are GAMP Services' Financials?

GAMP Services has reported strong revenue and profit growth, alongside improving operating margins.

Revenue increased approximately 28.4% in FY26, while net profit grew around 38%. The EBITDA margin also improved to 33.14%, suggesting that the company retained a greater share of revenue as operating earnings.

The June 2026 quarter showed further profitability improvement. However, investors should avoid assuming that one quarter's performance will continue throughout the year.

What Are the Biggest Risks in GAMP Services IPO?

Despite strong financial growth, several risks deserve attention.

  • Pharmaceutical industry dependence: Approximately 87.4% of FY26 revenue came from pharmaceutical customers. Slower spending by these companies could affect GAMP's growth.
  • Expansion execution: The proposed ₹40.05 crore investment is substantial relative to FY26 revenue of ₹45.81 crore. Its success will depend on generating enough additional business to justify the spending.
  • Profitability and cash flow: Maintaining high operating margins while expanding may be challenging. Investors should also assess whether reported profits consistently translate into cash.
  • Financial comparability: GAMP acquired a promoter-owned partnership business on March 31, 2026. The accounting treatment of this transfer should be reviewed when comparing historical financial performance.

Author's Take: What Should Investors Watch?

GAMP Services' specialised business, improving margins and approximately 38% FY26 profit growth make its proposed IPO worth examining. Its expansion plans could support future revenue growth as pharmaceutical manufacturers continue investing in quality and compliance.

However, heavy dependence on one industry and sizeable capital expenditure create execution risks. Strong reported earnings alone are not enough to establish whether an IPO is attractively priced.

Investors should focus on three things before evaluating the IPO: its final valuation, the sustainability of profit margins and whether expansion can generate stronger cash flows. With the price band yet to be announced, the company's growth prospects cannot currently be assessed against the price investors will have to pay.
