Tech Mahindra Reports Q4 Results and Target Price Update

Tech Mahindra (TECHM) reported 4QFY25 revenue of USD1.5b, down 1.5% QoQ in constant currency (CC) vs. our estimate of 0.8% cc decline. BFSI/Communications grew 2.4%/1.0% QoQ, while Healthcare/Hi-tech and Media declined 5.6%/8.2% QoQ. EBIT margin was up 40bp QoQ at 10.5%, beating our estimate of 10.3%. PAT stood at INR11.6b (up 18.7% QoQ/20.3% YoY), above our estimate of INR10b. For FY25, revenue/EBIT/PAT grew 4.0%/48.5%/20.3% YoY in INR terms. In 1QFY26, we expect revenue/EBIT/PAT to grow by 3.0%/30.0%/37.2% YoY. Net new deal TCV was USD798m, up 7.1% QoQ/59.6% YoY. We reiterate BUY on TECHM with a TP of INR1,950 (implying 35% upside), based on 25x FY27E EPS.25 Apr, 2025 10:55 PM

ICICI Securities Reduces Target Price for Tech Mahindra to Rs 1250

TechMs turnaround efforts are yielding results with its BFSI portfolio strengthening, large logo additions, a stronger deal TCV run-rate and improvement in margins. Strong new deal TCV growth of 42.6% YoY provides some comfort on FY26 growth outlook. However, the tough macro environment may delay ramp-up of existing deals and elongate the pipeline of TCV conversion cycles. Its two largest verticals – communication and manufacturing (~50% of revenue) – are impacted by industry-specific headwinds and weak macro. TechM also saw a delay in renewal of a BPS deal by a US hi-tech client in Q4FY25. We tweak our estimates to factor in the said challenges. We continue to value TechM at 18x on Q4FY26E– Q3FY27E EPS of INR 69; TP revised to INR 1,250. Retain REDUCE as tough macro could slow the pace of turnaround.25 Apr, 2025 10:03 PM

Tech Mahindra Target Price and Performance Analysis by Prabhudas Lilladher

The performance on the topline (-1.5% CC QoQ) was below our estimates (+0.3% CC QoQ), while the execution on margins was strong, exceeding our expectations by 30bps QoQ. The decline in revenue was led by unanticipated delays in renewals within Hi-Tech, which partly supported by strong momentum in BFSI (+2.5% QoQ). The management demonstrated one-year milestone of stabilizing growth and scaling profitability, while showcasing the additional efforts that need to be put in FY26 to achieve the FY27 goal. The operational strength achieved in FY25 is remarkable, which is evident through robust improvement in deal TCV USD2.7b (+42% YoY), while achieved revenue growth of 0.3% YoY CC in FY25. The company also weeded out 100bps of revenue in FY25 that was either non-strategic in nature or below qualification. It has been very selective and established guardrails to go behind strategic accounts, it added 45 must have accounts to further rescale and mine for higher wallet share. However, the management also indicted of macro related slowdown, which is evident in Manufacturing, Retail, and Hi-Tech, while US telcos are under economic stress. However, we believe the cost optimization efforts would continue at a similar pace of FY25 with continued efforts to rationalize employee pyramid and infusing multiple variants of AI. We are baking in revenue growth of -1.1%/+3.0% CC YoY with margin improvement of 240bps/250bps YoY in FY26E/FY27E. We assign 20x its FY27E EPS that translates to a TP of INR1,530. Retain, ACCUMULATE.25 Apr, 2025 07:55 PM
