Founded in 1995, Varun Beverages Ltd (VBL) is a leading Indian beverage company and also one of the largest franchisees of PepsiCo in the world (outside the USA). It produces, distributes, and sells carbonated soft drinks along with non-carbonated beverages, including packaged drinking water, under PepsiCo’s trademarks.

The company’s product portfolio includes Pepsi, Pepsi Black, Mountain Dew, Sting, Seven-Up, Mirinda Orange, Seven-Up Nimbooz Masala Soda, Evervess, Tropicana Slice, Tropicana Juices, Seven-Up Nimbooz, Gatorade, and packaged drinking water, Aquafina. Varun Beverages Ltd has a presence in over 27 states and 7 union territories in India.

Varun Beverages was founded as a bottling partner of PepsiCo in India. The company launched its IPO in 2016 and entered into a partnership for the selling and distribution of the larger Tropicana portfolio in 2018. In 2022, the company entered into an agreement to distribute and sell Lays, Doritos, and Cheetos for PepsiCo in the territory of Morocco and also commenced commercial production of Kurkure Puffcorn at the manufacturing plant in Kosi, Uttar Pradesh, for PepsiCo.
