About Mphasis Ltd

Mphasis Limited is a global IT solutions provider founded in August 1992 specializing in providing cloud and cognitive services for enterprises. It has grown since then, obtaining ISO 9001-1994 certification from BVQ U.K, reorganising into six independent Business Units IBUS, setting up a dedicated software development centre for Lanier Worldwide, entering into strategic alliance with two other US-based companies, setting up a subsidiary in the US and launching its healthcare product in international markets. After a string of successful partnerships and deals, including the sale of a significant portion of the domestic business to Hinduja Global Solutions and Karvy Data Management Services Limited (KDMSL), Mphasis Limited entered into a definitive agreement to acquire American International Group’s (AIG) subsidiary, the AIG Systems Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (AIGSS). Blackstone then acquired Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE) majority stake in 2016. The company also bought back 17.37 million equity shares from existing shareholders for a total of Rs. 1,103 crores and 7.32 million equity shares for Rs. 988.27 crores in the years 2017 and 2018 respectively. It also acquired Datalytyx Limited and its subsidiaries in a Share Purchase Agreement for a consideration of GBP 11.55 million. Strategic partnerships and deals like acquisitions of Blink UX, Securonix, Stonebrook and deals worth total contract value of 1.43 billion have seen Mphasis gain recognition in the HFS Market Analysis of Disruptive Hyperscaler Cloud Service Providers 2021.
