About NLC India Ltd

NLC India Ltd (formerly Neyveli Lignite Corporation India Ltd) was incorporated in 1956 as a public sector enterprise of the Government of India. It is a Navratna company and is headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

NLC India Ltd operates in the power sector and is involved in lignite mining, power generation, and renewable energy. It has four thermal power plants, three lignite mines, and one solar power plant. The company also has a joint venture with Neyveli New Energy Ltd (NNEL) to develop, construct, operate and maintain solar power projects.

The company's top products include lignite, power, and renewable energy. It also produces popular brands such as NLCIL, NLC Energy, NLC Renewable Energy, and NLC Solar.
