About Computer Age Management Services Ltd

Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) is India’s largest Mutual Fund Transfer Agency, controlling over 69% of mutual fund assets in the country. Founded in 1988, it is approved by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) and has since gained a reputation for being a technology-enabled services partner. In 2019-20, one of its shareholders, Acsys Investments Pvt Ltd, sold 4,890,400 shares, leading to CAMS filing a Draft Red Herring Prospectus in January 2020 for an initial public offering of 12,164,400 equity shares. This was followed by SEBI ordering NSE Investments Ltd. to divest its stake in CAMS within a year. As of March 2022, CAMS has six wholly owned subsidiaries, along with one recently acquired subsidiary, and it launched several platforms in 2021-22 such as MFCentral, CAMS WealthServ, cloud-based Central Recordkeeping Agency and the Account Aggregator services. In October 2020, CAMS’ equity shares were listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
