About Vodafone Idea Ltd

Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL), a leading Indian telecom provider, was formed on August 31, 2018, through the merger of Vodafone India and Idea Cellular. It holds a 17.7% customer market share in India, as of March 31, 2025, ranking third behind Jio and Airtel, according to TRAI.

Vodafone Idea earns mainly from mobile and data services across 2G–5G networks, serving retail and enterprise customers. It also offers digital services via the Vi app, and provides enterprise connectivity like IoT, cloud, and private networks for SMEs and large businesses.

VIL's total subscriber base was 197.7 million as of June 30, 2025.In Q1 FY26, the company added over 4,800 new 4G towers to strengthen its network and improve connectivity. As of June 2025, Vodafone Idea had around 516,200 broadband sites. Its 5G services are live in 22 cities across 13 regions, with plans to cover all 17 regions by September 2025.
