Company Information

Transformers and Rectifiers India Limited was established in 1994 by Jitendra U. Mamtora, Karuna J. Mamtora and Satyen J. Mamtora. The company specializes in manufacturing and selling of different types of transformers such as power and distribution transformers, furnace transformers, rectifier transformers, and specialized transformers. It has two manufacturing facilities, located in Changodar and Odhav in Ahmedabad. In 1998, the company was awarded ISO 90012000 accreditation by Bureau Veritas for designing, manufacturing and servicing of power transformers up to 200 Mega Volt-Ampere, 220 kV class, and furnace transformers up to 63 Mega Volt-Ampere, 33 kV class. In 2006, the Changodar facility underwent a capacity enhancement from 4000 MVA (Mega Volt-Ampere) p.a. to 6000 MVA p.a. Expansion and debottlenecking procedures were initiated for this, such as installation of new winding machines, separate oven for coil drying, segregation of despatch area, 100 MT EOT crane, additional manpower etc.
