Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd (MOFSL) is an NBFC registered under the Reserve Bank of India Act 1934, offering a range of financial products and services such as stock broking, private wealth management, retail broking, distribution institutional broking, asset management, investment banking, private equity, proprietary investments, commodities broking, currency broking and home finance, catering to a diversified client base including retail customers, mutual funds, foreign institutional investors, financial institutions, and corporate clients. The company has grown significantly over the years, reaching a network of 550 cities and towns, comprising 2,500 business locations and over 9 lakh registered customers. It has witnessed a steady growth in business backed by strong fundamentals, investments in reaching out to clients digitally, and risk mitigated solutions. It currently has 20 subsidiaries including step down subsidiaries, and as of March 31 2021, its financial product distribution AUM is Rs. 12,785 crores, quoted equity investments at Rs. 2,180 crores, and retail client base at 19.7 lakh, growing at a CAGR of 28%. It has also joined ties with HDFC Life, ICICI Pru Life, Bajaj Life for life insurance and Aditya Birla Health Care Health, Star Health and Allied for health insurance products.
