About Sri Ramakrishna Mills (Coimbatore) Ltd

Sri Ramakrishna Mills (SRM), established in 1946, is a leading Indian company involved in textile spinning and real estate development. SRM's spinning mills, located across four Indian cities, have an installed capacity of 75,944 spindles and 912 rotors. SRM continued its modernisation and renovation programmes to enhance quality and productivity and is a member of South India Textile Research Association (SITRA). The company, however, has faced difficulties due to the unabated rise of cotton and other input costs. Despite these adversities, SRM has successfully sustained its growth rate on the export front. Consequently, SRM had to seek relief from Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR) due to erosion of net worth and initiated a Corporate Debt Restructuring Proposal with sundry creditors IDBI, which was approved in September 2003.
