About Loyal Textile Mills Ltd

Loyal Textile Mills is a Tamilnadu-based company founded in 1946, producing cotton yarn, fabric, hosiery, cloth, and caps in India. It additionally exports 27% of its production to countries like the US, Russia, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and Portugal. The company was the first to introduce tandem-carding in the ‘70s and was also the first to introduce air-splicing and automatic cone-winding technology that enables electronic controls to detect and mend yarn defects. It had an expansion-modernisation project in 1987 where it set up 100 airjet looms to weave polyester-blended suitings. The expansion further continued in 1998-99 to increase the company's installed capacity of ring spindles, rotors, and automatic looms to 53,492, 3,768, and 285 respectively, and in 2000-01, the company increased its stake in a Joint Venture Company in Italy to 47.50%. Additionally, it entered into a JV agreement with M/s Dimco SA Greece in 2000-01 for the formation of a JV company in Greece for marketing of garments. The company has invested approximately Rs. 3,358.44 lakhs on machinery/modernisation and for the installation of a power plant.
