About Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd

Incorporated in April 1986, Indo Rama Synthetics India Ltd (IRSIL) is India's leading manufacturer of polyester filament yarn (PFY), polyester staple fibre, draw texturised yarn, specialty fibers and chips. It has an integrated manufacturing complex in Butibori, Maharashtra with an annual capacity of 610,050 tonnes. Its customers include countries such as the US, Germany, France and Belgium. IRSIL has technical collaborations with Chemtex, DuPont, Barmag and Toyobo for its projects. This is complemented by an export-oriented unit at Pithampur that has received the ISO 9002 certification. After successful commissioning of a mini expansion for PFY/FDY and DTY capacity, the company has decided to leverage information and implemented the SAP R/3 package. Recently IRSIL is taking up production capacity expansion from 800 to 1600 tonnes per day for both polyester staple fibre and partially oriented yarn, with the expected completion in a phased manner from June 2006 onwards. The existing production capacity for draw texturised yarn, draw twisted yarn, polyester staple fibre, polyester chips and polyester yarn stands at 32,025 tpa, 132,300 tpa, 52,500 tpa and 126,000 tpa respectively. Its other initiatives include heat treatment media project for replacing furnace oil with coal, and the 11 MW coal-based captive power plant commissioned in 2011-12.
