About Ludlow Jute & Specialities Ltd

Aekta Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kanoria Chemicals Industries, is an established manufacturer of jute yarn, webbing, geotextile, polyjute bags and hessian. The corporation was started activities in January 1980 and was transferred the Ludlow Jute mill from Kanoria Chemicals Industries Ltd. To modernise and upgrade the mill, financial institutions provided Rs. 5.20 Crore for the first phase in June 1992, while the second phase was completed in 1993 to 1994. Additionally the company invested in specialized equipment such as circular looms, automatic looms, spinning frames etc. Aekta achieved ISO 9002 certification for its jute division and was the first mill to have acquired this quality mark for every product. As part of the ongoing restructure, the Sijberia Division was transferred to the wholly-owned Ludlow Securities Ltd in October 2003.
