About Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills Ltd

Sri Nachammai Cotton Mills (SNCM) was established in March 1980 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jawahar Mills. It was converted into a public limited company in June 1982 and promoted by R M Ramanathan and P Palaniappan. SNCM manufactures combed and carded cotton hosiery yarn in counts ranging from 20s to 40s, marketed for the Tirupur’s international exports of knitted garments and hosiery. In January 1995, it made a public issue worth of Rs 7.52 crores to fund capital expenditure, diversification and long-term working capital. In the year 19992000, they achieved a turnover of Rs 7747.37 lacs, a slight increase from the previous year. SNCM has various sister companies, such as Sree Uma Parameshwari Mills and Uma Maheshwari Mills. With the continual growth of SNCM, its modernisation and diversification projects are set to advance its current market position.
