GMDC is involved in mining, exploration and production of minerals. Its core business operations include lignite mining, bauxite mining, fluorspar mining, calcined bauxite production, and wind power generation. GMDC is also engaged in the production of manganese ore, bentonite, and other minerals.
The company's top products include lignite, bauxite, calcined bauxite, and fluorspar. GMDC's lignite is used in thermal power plants, and its bauxite is used in the production of aluminium. The company's calcined bauxite is used in the manufacture of abrasives and refractories. GMDC's fluorspar is used in the production of hydrofluoric acid, cryolite, and aluminium fluoride.
