About Ganesh Benzoplast Ltd

Ganesh Benzoplast, a part of the Ganesh Group, was established in 1986 in Bombay, Maharashtra and manufactures industrial chemicals with a current installed capacity of 10,800 tpa. In January 1995, the company went public with an issue to expand their chemical storage terminal at the Jawaharlal Nehru Port and set up manufacturing facilities for refined iodised salt, with a new capacity of 360,000 tpa. GBL's main product is benzoplast plasticisers; organic compounds added to plastics to increase their fabrication properties, and is used widely in the production of PVC items, cables, hoses, flooring, and other household items. In 1996, the company increased the manufacturing of benzoplast to 9,000 tpa. In 1997, GBL introduced 'Preser Fish' - an ice additive to preserve fish, and in 2000-01, they embarked on a project to set up storage terminals in Cochin and Goa. The company has also been recently awarded a contract from ONGC to operate and maintain the Multi Support and Geo Technical Vessel named 'Samudra Prabha MSV Samudra Sarvekhak GTV'.
