Company Information

Dharani Sugars and Chemicals Ltd (DSCL) was founded in June 1987 in Tamil Nadu, India as a public limited company. It is the flagship of the PGP group, and produces sugar and its byproducts. DSCL has two sugar plants, located in Dharani Nagar, Tamil Nadu, and Nayagrah, Odisha with the first autosetting mill in Asia. In January 1998, the company established a 15MV cogeneration facility in Polur, Tamil Nadu. As of 2000-2001, the company has exported 3656T of sugar through ISGEC. To further enhance production, the company has received a letter of intent from the Government of India to establish a 2500TPD sugar factory in Sankarpuram and an expansion of the Polur unit to 5000TPD. The company plans to set up a 30klpd distillery to produce industrial alcohol from byproducts like bagasse and molasses at its Dharani Nagar plant.
