Advanced Enzyme Technologies Limited AETL is the largest Indian enzyme company and is engaged in research, development, manufacturing and marketing of over 400 proprietary products developed from over 68 indigenous enzymes and probiotics. With state-of-the-art facilities in India, Germany and USA, it has transitioned the business and transformed the sector. AETL, formerly Advanced Biochemicals Limited, was established in 1989. In 2011, the company acquired CalIndia Foods International and in 2012 it acquired Advanced Supplementary Technologies Corporation. In 2016, the company came up with an Initial Public Offer (IPO) of 4594875 Equity shares of Rs 10 each which were subscribed 82.06 times. During the financial year ended 31 March 2017, AETL acquired 1.43 crore equity shares at Rs. 35 per share of JC Biotech Private Limited (JCB) and further acquired 200,000 equity shares and 150000 equity shares of MYR 1 of AEM. On July 11 2017, AETL incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary Advanced Enzymes Europe BV. On 3 October 2017, the company acquired certain assets and liabilities of Biomedic Labs and in January 2021 it completed 'the acquisition of controlling stake of 51 in SciTech Specialities Private Limited SSPL India'. On 29 May 2021 it acquired additional 15% stake of JCB. Overall on 31 March 2021, the company had 12 subsidiaries.
