Adani Energy Solutions Reports Decline in Net Profit - 02 May, 2024

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd has reported a 13.26% decline in its consolidated net profit for the March quarter of FY24, with a net profit of Rs 381.29 crore. For the whole financial year (FY24), the company's net profit stood at Rs 1,195.61 crore, down from Rs 1,280.60 crore registered in FY23.

Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Total Gas will announce their March quarterly results on April 30. The former received an LOA for additional order quantity of 1.7 million meters from MSEDCL with a revenue potential of Rs 2,100 crore. The company sold 2,226 million units in Q4FY24 against 2,100 million units last year due to uptick in energy demand. The share of renewable power supplied to Mumbai circle stood at 35% and is expected to achieve 60% by FY27.

Rajiv Jain's GQG Partners bought a stake in Adani Energy Solutions and upped its stake in the largest private sector power transmission company in India. The T&D sector is expected to expand with favourable policy environments and increased openings for private sector involvement via tariff-based competitive bidding. Ventura Securities values Adani Energy Solutions at 17 times EV/Ebitda and recommends BUY with a target price of Rs 1,600, representing an upside potential of 50.4% from CMP.
