Company Information
In addition, a joint venture company has been formed between TRW and Rane – the TRW Rane Occupants Restraints – for the manufacture of seatbelts. Furthermore, to manufacture energy absorbing steering columns, Rane is in collaboration with NSK Japan and Torrington Company from the US. These efforts have led to the increase of the Steering Gear Products installed capacity to 464,400 units/year for the year 2001 – a 500 unit-jump from the previous year’s total of 459000. Despite this success, the company changed its name in April 2005 from Rane Madras Ltd to Rane Holdings Ltd.
