About Prag Bosimi Synthetics Ltd

Established in 1987, Prag Bosimi Synthetics Ltd (PBSL) is a joint venture between Assam Industrial Develpment Corporation (AIDC) and Bombay Silk Mills (BOSIMI). The company manufactures Polyester Yarn and has a total project cost of Rs 188 Cr. It has a technical collaboration with EMS Inventa Switzerland for the manufacturing of POY/PFY. The Company also established a Downstream facility for Draw Texturizing and Draw twisting of Yarn. To meet the working capital requirements, the company came out with Rs. 27.1 Cr public issue in 1992. After many delays due to various reasons, the last phase of the project was expected to be completed in 1995. To support this, Financial Institutions sanctioned additional short-term finance. During 2010, the company formed a wholly owned subsidiary company to implement the Textile Park Project. In the last decade, new machineries have been installed and commissioned, and Bosimi Apparel division was formed in 2015 under the Brand Name BOSIMI. The company is currently selling their products in West Bengal and within Assam after commencement of commercial production in 2018.
