About GTN Industries Ltd

GTN Industries Ltd, formerly known as GTN Textiles Ltd, was incorporated in 1962 and taken over by the present promoters in 1966. It is the flagship of the GTN Patodia Group and is recognised as an Export House and Star Exporter. It is engaged in the business of spinning and doubling yarn, with its production facilities based in the states of Telangana and Maharashtra. In 1992 it exported virtually its entire production. Its installed capacity of its plant at Alwaye, Kerala was increased from 12000 to 38600 spindles, bringing the company's total spindleage to 60340. In 2000-2001, the company raised a term loan of Rs.22.83 crores under Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme which provides for a 5% interest subsidy. In December 2005, the company demerged its Aluva Unit, along with investments of the company made in Patspin India Ltd, offices, and its assets situated in Mumbai, Kolkata and Coimbatore, to GTN Industries Ltd. After demerger, the company now has two Spinning Units at Nagpur and Medak with collective capacity of 70336 spindles, a Yarn Processing Unit at Shadnagar, and a Yarn Doubling Unit at Medak. GTN Industries Ltd was classified as a potentially sick company during 2015-16 and notified to the BIFR on 27th October 2016, with SICA 1985 being withdrawn.
