About Polo Hotels Ltd

Polo Hotels was founded in January 1984 as Polo Estates Hotels and Investments Pvt Ltd and was later converted into a public limited company in 1989. It shifted its registered office from Shimla, Himachal Pradesh to Haryana in 1993 and was promoted by Mr. Vikas Paul Garg and associates. Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation is involved in its equity funding as well. Polo Hotels came out with its public issue in October 1994 to set up North Park, a 3-star resort hotel in Panchkula, Haryana, with 43 rooms, restaurant, banquet hall, coffee shop, shopping arcade and other recreational/health facilities. In June 1994, Polo Hotels had entered an agreement with Quality Inns India Pvt Ltd (QIIPL) for international and domestic franchise marketing and management support services. QIIPL, being a franchise holder of Choice Hotels International, the third largest hotel chain in the world, provides necessary technical expertise and support for efficient hotel operations.
