About Nitta Gelatin India Ltd

Nitta Gelatin India Limited (formerly known as Kerala Chemicals Proteins Limited) was formed in 1975 and is a joint venture between Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation; and two esteemed Japanese companies, Nitta Gelatin and Mitsubishi Corporation. The company operates in the business of manufacturing and selling ossein gelatin and collagen peptide and produces ossein and dicalcium phosphate, two chemicals used in photographic and animal feed products respectively. In 2021, a Jet Aerator was installed at the Reva Division to expand their capacity of ossein, and to manufacture 2000tpa gelatin through technical collaborations with Nitta Gelatin. Since then, the company has received multiple awards for their exports, and has registered growth by producing other new products such as meat meal, chitosan, nutrigold, and seedaid. On March 27, 2012 the Limed Ossien Plant owned by M/s. Reva Proteins Limited became operational, and M/s. Reva Proteins Limited was merged into NGIL with effect from 1st April 2017, culminating with the installation of the Jet Aerator at the Reva Division in 2022.
