About Muller & Phipps (India) Ltd

Muller Phipps India Ltd. (MPIL), formerly of Calcutta, is a trading company in Toilet Preparations and Medicated Preparations that was promoted by the US-based Muller Phipps International Corp.. Development Holding Asia Ltd. holds 51.6% of the stake in MPIL. In Nov. 1973, the company became public limited. MPIL is the distributer of four international products, and also owns the popular Cuticura talcum powder brand, which they recently sold to Chalayil Group - a leading south based FMCG company and owner of the Medimix brand. MPIL also acts as distributor of Shellox with Vapona insecticide from National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd, and Black Rose range of products, Dupen Laboratories Oral Health Care and Generic Drugs. MPIL has two subsidiaries, Muller Phipps Agencies Ltd. (formerly Chakosheela Trading Agencies Ltd.) and Muller Phipps Industrial Services Ltd., and forged a strategic alliance with Dorcas Market Makers Ltd. for distribution of their products, including Cuticura. After the issue of shares in 1973, Muller Phipps International Corp.’s holding was reduced from 100% to 40%. Overall, Muller Phipps India Ltd. is a leading provider in Toilet Preparations and Medicated Preparations, and due to their recent strategic alliance with Dorcas Market Makers Ltd. is gaining even more awareness in the industry.
